Save your tokens, make quick edits yourself

Easily update text, color, elements without the prompt with our visual editor.

Not every change needs a prompt

Select, change, and keep your prompts for the big stuff.

Select, don't describe

Click the element you want to change, and Bolt knows exactly what you mean. No more explaining "the button in the top right" or watching Bolt change the wrong section.

Type right on the page

Double-click any text in the preview and rewrite it in place. The shortcuts you already use, like Cmd or Ctrl+B for bold, work while you type, and the preview updates as you go.

Restyle in a click

Select an element and a toolbar appears with the controls that fit it. The color picker offers the colors your app already uses, so changes stay on brand, or you can pick any shade by hex or RGB.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

With visual edits, you click an element in your app's live preview, change it in place with a toolbar, stack up as many changes as you want, and save them. Bolt applies the whole batch to your real code in one run. Available on every Bolt plan.

Open your project and click Select in the chatbox. Click any element in the preview to open its toolbar. Double-click text to edit it, or use the toolbar to change size, color, and style. Add each edit to your batch, then click Save changes.

Making edits in the preview is free. Visual edits cost tokens only when you click Save changes. Saving edits as a batch uses fewer tokens than sending each edit separately.

Before you save, you can delete any edit from the batch or discard the whole batch. After you save, roll back the batch with version history.

Visual edits covers text and styling. You can't drag elements around or rearrange layout from the toolbar, and you can't navigate between pages while Select is on. Use the prompt box for layout changes.
