Reimagine how software is built with

Join us to change how millions of people build & deploy, forever.

Who we are

We’re builders, designers, and dreamers reinventing how software is created. We move fast, win as a team, and ship bold ideas that make building faster, more joyful, and more accessible to every creator.

01

Extreme Ownership

Ownership here isn’t a title, it’s a mindset, see what needs to happen, make it happen, carry it to the finish.

02

Win Together

We win together, that means jumping in wherever we’re needed and wearing as many hats as it takes to get there.

03

Bias for Momentum

We keep the pace fast and the feedback loop tight, ship, learn, adjust, repeat.

04

Build for Impact

Impact starts with listening, we build what solves real problems and sweat every detail to get it right.

05

All In

All-in means being present when it counts and human the rest of the time, we take care of each other and respect boundaries.

Perks & benefits

Taken care of, so you can do the work

Health, retirement, time off, and the setup to do good work anywhere.

Health coverage

Medical, dental, and vision for you and your dependents, with the company covering the large majority of the premium.

401(k)

A retirement plan you can contribute to from your first paycheck, with no waiting period to enroll.

Wellness

A monthly stipend for whatever keeps you functioning — the gym, therapy, the climbing membership, the good mattress.

Internet reimbursement

If you work from home, your connection is a work tool. We pay for it monthly — no expense-report theatre.

Parental leave

Paid leave for every new parent — birth, adoption, or surrogacy — and a ramp back that assumes you have a newborn, because you do.

Flexible PTO

No fixed allotment, and — more importantly — managers who take their own time off so you feel able to take yours.

Hear it from our team

Engineering

“The culture at Bolt is genuinely exceptional. Engineers here aren’t just handed specs to execute. You get the reasoning behind every goal, the space to disagree, and the trust to help shape how the team works. Things move fast, but no one uses that as an excuse to skip the details.”

Sales

“What I love about Bolt is that everyone’s genuinely in it together. From eng to product to support, we jump on problems as one team. Things move fast, feedback is honest and direct, and people actually listen. It’s rare to feel this looped in and this cared for.”

People Ops

“What sold me on Bolt was the opportunity to help build something special, but what’s kept me here is the people. I’ve watched teammates jump in wherever they’re needed and leadership move fast without losing sight of the people behind the work. It’s rare to find a team this driven and this genuine.”

Customer Experience

“I’ve never worked for a company that is as collaborative as this one. At Bolt, regardless of your role in the company, you are empowered to provide feedback and suggest improvements to the product. Working at Bolt really makes you feel like you’re contributing to something great.”

Hiring process

What to expect

Our interviewing process is intended to be efficient and relevant. We want to understand how you think and solve problems.

Interviews are usually 30–60 minutes long, depending on focus. Most loops finish within two to three weeks. The exact steps depend on the role.

  1. 01An initial recruiter conversation to better understand your experience and where that fits into what we are building
  2. 02A call with the hiring manager to better understand your previous and anticipated impact
  3. 03When applicable, you might do a practical exercise or portfolio walkthrough that reflects the actual job
  4. 04A short set of team conversations to evaluate your skills (usually two to four chats)
  5. 05A chance to speak with our CEO or CTO to address any residual questions you have about how you can help us build
Most are. We’re remote-first with a San Francisco hub, and each job post states the location requirement and any time-zone overlap we need. If a role is listed as remote, it genuinely is.
No, but it’s the single best way to prepare. It’s free to try, it takes about ten minutes to build something real, and candidates who’ve done it always have sharper questions.
